Prior to this time it was traditional for the 75th year of marriage to be celebrated as a Diamond Wedding anniversary, so it's not uncommon that today both these dates, 60 and 75 are celebrated as Diamond wedding anniversaries. For those lucky or is it unlucky souls who make it to 100 years of marriage no name has been ascribed to that celebration as yet probably because no one has yet qualified.
Naturally in modern times each year that a couple stays together in wedded bliss, it is considered such a momentous feat that it seems diamond anniversary and golden anniversary celebrations are brought foward when it comes to gift giving. While many people still flow along the traditional lines of wedding anniversaries, modern gift ideas have been taking a step forward.
Other anniversary ideas can take the shape of hampers and gift baskets. Hampers may include a variety of things from fine wine to champagne and crystal champagne glasses, or chocolates on antique silverware or dishes.
